Returning for the 18th year, the Burlingame Pet Parade is the spectacle of the year. Welcome to everyone, pet owners and pet lovers. The Pet Parade gives everyone an opportunity to showcase their amazing pets. You can watch this year’s parade on September 30 at 10 a.m. on Broadway in Burlingame. Take it further and enter your pet into the best-dressed, most unusual, best pet trick. Below are some tips to get a leg up in the competition and dazzle the crowd.
- Go above and beyond with your pet floats this year.
Pets in capes and tutus have been done. Make your pet an astronaut, and put them in a spaceship or set sail with your trust crew of pirate cats. Already decided on your Halloween costume? Try some extra ideas on your pet and stand out as the only parrot that can SCUBA dive. - Join in on the fun and dress up with your pets.
Everyone loves seeing superhero pets saving the day alone, but every hero needs a sidekick! Work your own creative spirit into a costume to wear with your best friend, the pepper to your salt, the sun to your moon. - Don’t be afraid to bring your smaller pets.
Lizards, chickens, birds, and snakes are all welcome at the parade. The Burlingame Pet Parade is always looking for new contestants for the most unusual pets. Everyone loves the bumble bee dogs and the tutu cats, so why not ruffle some feathers with your chicken coop on wheels?
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring their pets and creative spirit. The pet parade loves to see everyone’s favorite animals on display, even stuffed animals! Teddy bears and other stuffed friends are a great way to ensure kids can show off and are the perfect partners for their costume ideas.
