Just across the Golden Gate Bridge, the Muir Woods offer a breathtaking getaway into an old-growth Redwood forest. This National Monument offers hikes from half a mile for those interested in a gentle walk through this other-worldly forest up to ten-mile hikes for those interested. The main trail, visitor center, and cafe are all ramped and paved, accessible for everyone.

Already been? Try visiting Muir Beach and overlook, located only 10 minutes from the woods. If you plan to make the trip to the Muir Woods, make a reservation online at least two weeks ahead of time.
