This Friday is Veterans Day, a day off for everyone as well as a time to say thanks to the veterans around the country. Since the end of World War I in 1918, we have been celebrating Armistice Day to commemorate the end of the Great War. However, in 1954 the holiday was officially renamed to Veterans Day at the wishes of US veterans organizations. Celebrating the continuing efforts of those currently serving in our military as well as the countless veterans to which we give our respect. Not only to respect our many veterans and soldiers but to recognize the continuing efforts toward world peace.
