Happy (early) Fourth of July! With the holiday quickly approaching, you’re probably looking for the perfect place to watch a fireworks show. Here are some of the best firework shows in the area that are bound to light you up inside!
Redwood City
The official Redwood City 4th of July Celebration features a full day of events, culminating in a spectacular waterfront fireworks show at the Port of Redwood City. While Redwood City had previously experimented with a drone light show, they are bringing back the traditional fireworks display over the port waterfront for the 2026 holiday.
Fisherman’s Wharf Pier 39
This fireworks show is set to begin at 9:30 pm and will light up the waterfront with a dazzling display. You can view this show directly from the pier, or head on over to Aquatic Park, where you can set up a picnic as you watch the show. This is an experience you’ll never forget as you watch the luminous fireworks over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge
California’s Great America
Looking to increase the thrill of your holiday? Look no further than Santa Clara’s Great America! Every year, thrill seekers gather at the theme park to enjoy their favorite rides paired with a radiant fireworks show to end the night. The display is scheduled for 9:40 pm, giving you optimal time to enjoy the coasters before your night concludes.
Milpitas Red, White & Boom
The Milpitas Red, White & Boom festival is held every year at the Milpitas Sports Center and is a lively celebration of food and music. These stunning fireworks show has the foothills as its backdrop, making for a very picturesque Bay Area evening. The show is scheduled for 9 pm, with an evening of activities leading up to it.
Sausalito
Fireworks will be at Gabrielson Park and will begin around 9:15pm. Bring your blankets, beach chairs (low to the ground and no high backs), or reserve a table. Enjoy the best view of the fireworks at one of our viewing tables! Tables are available for use from 6pm until the end of the fireworks. Each table includes 6 chairs.
Petaluma
The City of Petaluma at the Petaluma Fairgrounds is once again hosting a high-elevation professional fireworks display on Friday, July 4, at 9:30 PM. The show is designed to be enjoyed from neighborhoods and parks across the city.
