On your marks, get sketching, go to SF Sketchfest 2026

Known as one of the biggest comedy festivals in the country, Sketchfest is a celebration of comedy in all forms, from live stand-up to podcasts and short sketch scenes. The festival was founded in 2001 by Daviw Owen, Cole Stratto, and Janet Varney as a way to showcase a group of local comedy acts. The show rapidly grew into a nationally recognized festival boasting headliners from Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, and even The Daily Show.

This year, Sketchfest is set to take over 10+ venues across San Francisco. The shows will run for two weeks from January 15 to February 1, with a schedule boasting over 200 events. No two events are the same, so be sure to check out the event schedule here to find the perfect show for you.

The range of materials is sure to not only keep you going back, but also allow performers to experiment and be up to date with their materials. Their wide range means they can address any pressing topic from technology to economics in a lighthearted manner that is sure to make you laugh!

Whether you go to one show or 20, be sure to stop by to be transferred into an alternate reality of improv, standup, and even pun-offs.
