Have you been wanting to do a food tour of San Francisco, or are you into music? Love both? Look no further than Outside Lands San Francisco. This August 8-10 will mark the 17th year of the festival, and it has grown into a big destination for music lovers. Headliners, including Tyler, The Creator, Hozier, and Doja Cat, may have come across your radar. Still, a lesser-known secret of the festival is that it’s the ultimate cultivation of the Bay’s best eats.
With so many options to explore, be sure to check out these top restaurants while enjoying a set at the Twin Peaks Stage.
From Chicken Kebab to Knafeh on a sick day, Lulu offers some of the best Palestinian bites in the Bay Area. The owner, Mona Leena, has curated the menu, leveraging her family recipes and refining her skills through a French Culinary school. The menu features fresh, bold flavors guaranteed to make your day tastier.
Need a pick-me-up? Stop by Bodega SF for an iced coffee and a Pho dip sandwich. The Bodega will be heading over from Union Square to cook up some of their top Vietnamese dishes. This restaurant is family-owned and has been run by the Ho family since 2003. They will be offering a simplified menu during the festival, but operate as a family-style restaurant, so arrive hungry and bring a family to share bites with!
Ready for dessert? Look no further than Rocco’s ice cream tacos. You may remember the ice cream truck staple: Choco Tacos, but Rocco’s takes this classic and makes it an elevated Bay Area staple. At the truck, you’ll be able to customize your taco based on your preferred ice cream flavor and toppings. If you’re craving a lighter dessert, they also offer frozen bananas and lattes.
While you can’t go wrong with the restaurants at Outside Lands, be sure to check out these classics and be prepared to find your new favorite meal in the Bay Area.
