Join Burlingame for one of its most anticipated events of the year, the Burlingame Pet Parade! Featuring live bands and contests for best in show and best float, the Burlingame Pet Parade brings together the Peninsula’s vibrant community for a day of fun and excitement. Established in 2004, the parade is a cherished tradition devoted to empowering local businesses, charities, and residents.
Over the years, the parade has grown into a major event, featuring pets of all shapes and sizes, many dressed in exciting imaginative costumes. Local businesses, schools, and residents participate with creative floats, highlighting the city’s cultural diversity. In the past, everything from dogs to snakes have won the best in show prize, leaving the spot open for any type of pet. The parade fosters a sense of unity and pride in Burlingame, reflecting the city’s commitment to community engagement and inclusivity. The parade features entertainment from local high-school bands, showcasing the ability of young people in the area. Beyond the fun and festivities, the event raises awareness and support for local animal-related causes, empowering philanthropic activity in the city. Charities like the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA have sponsored the event in the past, along with companies like Pet Food Express, The Daily Journal, and Lola’s Kitchen.
This year, the 19th annual Burlingame Pet Parade is set to take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
