As temperatures continue to rise and academic years start to slow, it is spring cleaning season again! As the warmth of spring breathes new life into your gardens and outdoor spaces, it is the perfect time to rejuvenate your living space and give back to your community.

Spring cleaning isn’t just about clearing out clutter; it’s about creating a fresh canvas for the upcoming seasons. Start by decluttering, removing things that don’t serve a purpose anymore. Not only does this free up physical space, but also clears mental clutter, providing clarity and calm.

Here are some of our favorite thrift stores to donate your spring cleaning to!

1. Goodwill: With locations around the Bay Area, this nonprofit has the most extensive collections on our list, and is open both for donations and shopping. By supporting Goodwill, you are supporting their mission of providing job training and employment placement for people who face barriers in their employment.

2. Pick of the Litter, Burlingame: Located off of Broadway Ave. in Burlingame, this thrift store is open for donations and shopping during the week. Profits from the Pick of the Litter benefit the Peninsula Humane Society!

3. The Shop, Menlo Park: This curated collection in Menlo Park is open for donations and shopping during the week. This shop supports the Junior League of Palo Alto, which promotes the wellbeing of its community resources through female leadership.

… and so many more!! Enjoy spring cleaning.
